Your choice of separately priced weight systems (hoops@lyaindustries.com or phone for quotations)

SAFETY requires the proper amount of base weight at all times. Three to six times the players weight is an estimate of the additional weight required. Do not allow the base to tilt or move during play.

Buy weight from LYA industries or supply weights your self.

Steel cement anchor bolts can also be used to anchor the base plate.

The owner or supervisor is responsible for proper weight placement and subsequent safety.

Easily adjust from 6 ½ to 10 ft. Simple removable hand crank.
3 ½ inch diameter Pole.1/8 in wall thickness
Available in Aluminum or Black Paint is environmentally safe, Very low in Volatile Compounds and has Organic rust inhibitors similar to galvanizing
Maximum distance from the pole to the end of the rim is about 53 inches
Base size is 36"x 36" x 1/2" steel and has 5 inch wheels for easy moving from place to place and the Pole is removable for transporting.

The Advantage of all LYA weight systems over the largeplastic bases is the weights are easily replaced and easier to move whenchanging base location or transporting. The large plastic base systems becomeuseless and dangerous when damaged or just develop cracks due to the sun andother outdoor elements. Emptying and refilling for transporting are also more ofa problem.

Remember the LYA steel base will not disintegrate like aplastic tank and will last years longer. Compare prices relative to expected useand an LYA Base will be your choice

Water and sand tanks are available in sizes from 5 to 10gallons at discount stores like Kmart and Wal-Mart. Rectangular stackableplastic containers work well and remember 300 to 600 pounds of additional weightis required. Water weighs about 9 to 10 lbs per gallon and sand weighs 10 to 12lbs per gallon. Some names forcontainers are tote box, waste or garbage container – Dog food storage orlitter containers, etc. what ever is available or a convenient size.

Home Depot, Menards, Lowe’s and other home supply andgarden centers have solid cement blocks 4x8x16 inches, colored cement patioflour blocks 2x16x16, and barbell weights, and all are available at about 35 lbeach. Start out by buying about 10 of them. Patio blocks are a favorite.

Safety and fun do not come about without effort. Movingand maintaining weights is work.
